SYNOPSIS
Mick Miller is chasing a dream to break the world record for turnip throwing.
But his mundane life is thrown into turmoil when Guinness announce a 'World Expo' to remove the record as no one has challenged it since corrupt local councilor, Bob Hodgkiss, shattered the record in his mulleted eighties hey-day.
Mick has one last chance to seal his immortality. He and Bob travel to the Expo, where they must compete with the biggest collection of obsessives and freaks the world has ever seen.
BACKGROUND
Life is Swede was born from a healthy obsession by the writer and producer about child-hood dreams of breaking records.
This, coupled with a working-class English upbringing, where growing your own vegetables was second nature, combined to produce a heart-felt and original narrative.
