"Tackle it – Young People and Substance Use/Misuse" Film Project.
Superkrush Films in co-operation with Tyne & Wear Museums and the Sunderland Youth Offending Services created an innovative and successful 'Community' film project with young people at risk of exposure to 'Substance Use/Misuse'. Phase one of the film project, was a series of tailor made Drama/Acting and Creative Writing workshops that were "designed to raise awareness and educate young people about the issues associated with substance use/misuse".
The workshops explored the following areas;
Superkrush aided the group in writing, performing, filming and producing two short films (10-15 minutes) about the issues of substance use/misuse. The idea was to reflect the groups' engagement with the museum collections and provide positive promotion for themselves and the services they represent.
Harvest was shot on location at Alnwick Gardens by Sundance Film Festival Award winner Lol Crawley.
