Young offenders challenge issues of consequences and repercussions of their criminal actions.
Upon his release form prison, Brody tries to re-integrate with his old gang who are now being lead by Lewis, a manipulative and violent bully who keeps the others, especially young Nathan, in check with fear.
Lewis feels threatened by the new arrival and keeps a close eye on Brody.
Brody, with the help of youth worker Gary, tries to keep his criminal past behind him. The events escalate in a nightclub when Lewis decides to stab Brody. He psyches himself up in the bathroom and, just as he is about to commit his crime, Nathan bumps into him and stabs the surprised Lewis. Nathan runs away. When Lewis is found later on, he says that Brody did it, knowing full well the consequences of his lie.
Another successful cooperation between Sunderland Young Offending Services and Superkrush Films.
In 2008, Superkrush Films facilitated a series of weekly workshops for 15 young ex-offenders from Sunderland over a period of 12 weeks.
The idea to produce an improvised docu-drama about the vicious circle and consequences of criminal behaviour came from the young people who took an active part in all creative.
The story reflects real-life experiences from the young people and makes a bold comment on the seemingly inevitable power of group pressure and betrayal.
