SYNOPSIS
YOUR GAME is a documentary created by young people from Sunderland as part of the BBC Blast tour 2008.
The documentary follows the BBC Blast workshops and events at Newcastle United training ground.
ROOFTOP ROMANCE is a teenage drama, telling the story of John who is obsessed with Kate and who follows her around during the day.
As his patience runs out, he kidnaps her and takes her to the top of the Castle Keep where is has got her all to himself.
The story is told in reverse order and without dialogue, impresses with the strong acting of the young people, who have never been involved in film-making before.
BACKGROUND
As part of the annual BBC Blast tour 2008, Superkrush facilitated 2 filmmaking workshops for young people between 13-19 in Newcastle Upon Tyne.
One project was "Making a Documentary in One Day" with young ex-offenders from Sunderland and the other project was a "Create a Short Film in Three Days" with young people from North Tyneside.
The ideas for both films were created by the young people and on-set, they had creative and technical control over all processes with the help of drama and film facilitators.
