Superkrush Films is an award winning film & commercial production company
Formed in 2001 by Chris Taylor, Superkrush Films has produced over 100 high quality film productions ranging from TV commercials to music videos to feature films.
Over the last seven years we have created a diverse portfolio, with TV Commercials for Royal Quays Shopping Centre, Decision Homebuyers, Newcastle Building Society, Approved Car Finance and Centre for Life, Corporates for Sunderland AFC, Northumbria University and International House, music videos for The Sound Explosion and Sony BMG, as well as award-winning short films (I am Dead and Six Tenners and a Soprano) and our first feature film, Sub-Zero.
At Superkrush we are driven by two things: Story and Audience.
We produce narrative-driven promotional films, with a concise and succinct use of image and sound. Creating 'Cinematic' productions that cleverly incorporate music and voice-over. Our strength is economy and subtlety of information dissemination through eye-catching imagery.
We approach each project individually, seeking out the creative input of the client as well as involving ideas and concepts presented by all members of our creative team. Superkrush Films employ specialist ‘film production’ operatives, such as Cinematographers and Sound Recordists, at all key stages of the project, believing that a 'Master Tradesperson' is always better than a 'jack-of-all-trades'
Superkrush Films use the latest High Definition Cameras. Allowing us to be extremely budgeting conscious without compromising the vision or quality.
FACILITIES
Post Production
Superkrush has 3 full Broadcast High Definition edit suites with Final Cut Pro and CGI, graphics and Fx capabilities.
There is also a Cinema-screening room with projector.
We now capture all our footage direct onto hard-drives, which allows for quicker digitization and lower costs for edit time.
Our in-house composers from Mudshark Audio www.mudsharkaudio.co.uk provide bespoke audio design for each of our projects. Their services include composition, sound-design, remixing, ADR, voice-over, audio-mixing and mastering, audio restoration, sound effects and consultation.
EQUIPMENT
Superkrush Films are proud to announce that they have acquired the revolutionary RED ONE Digital Cinema Camera. A Digital Camera that truly replaces 35mm.
The RED ONE™ is designed for flexibility and functionality and offers the quality, reliability, depth of field, malleable raw image, 35mm optics, high speed recording, and latitude that people have come to expect from 35mm film. Weighing in at 10 lbs, this streamlined package is specifically designed to maximize your shooting options.
Typical high end HD cameras have 2.1MP sensors. The RED One delivers 11.4MP and records RAW or 2x over sampled HD in 4:4:4 or 4:2:2. The images can only be described as ultra high definition.
GLIDECAM V-25, a professional body-mounted camera stabilization system that creates super-smooth camera moves.
The role of a DIT (Digital Imaging Technician):
When you rent a RED One camera through Superkrush, you will have the option to hire a DIT, a RED expert to ensure your shoot will run smoothly and you get the most out of your RED One camera hire. Our on-set DIT is highly trained so your camera is set up correctly and your data is captured and backed-up securely, so that your post-production runs smoothly too.
